Sliver Moon

Sliver moon
in the dark sky
hanging there
so small and lonely,
You bring me hope.

You show me that
there is always a small
amount of light that
shines through the
vast darkness of life.

I want to reach out
and hold onto you,
sliver moon of hope,
until the morning sun
shines in all of its
brilliance.

  1. Anne,
I love this. The moon and its phases never cease to amaze and amuse me.

  2. Beautiful, Anne.
I love sitting outside, or by the window when it's cold, and looking at the moon in all its phases. Sometimes a sliver of light, other times a big red ball but always ... a sign of the majesty of creation.

  4. Is there anyone who is not fascinated by the moon? Even the astronauts are -- and some have flown there!
