"I say to myself, I will not mention His name, I will speak in His name no more. But then, it becomes like a fire burning in my heart, imprisoned in my bones, I grow weary holding it in, I cannot endure it." Jeremiah 20:7-10

Sacrament
The new father held his baby daughter
gently within his hands.
His gaze never left her face;
he focused intently upon her,
not even looking up when I entered the room.
I dared not disturb this holy scene,
this reminder of how
tenderly God looks at
each and every one of us,
and I was blessed by the sacrament of the moment.

I am reveling in the imagery, painted by your words. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw this picture it immediately made me think of the picture Colleen put up of her son and grandson.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful words and picture!
