Be real for me, God.
Let me see you
let me touch you
let me know you.
Be real for me, God.
Move out of my imaginings
and dreams and enter into
my every tangible moment.
Be real for me, God.
Be my only desire
be my only joy
be my only life.
Be real for me, God.
Step out of the painting
on my wall and stand
with me face to face.
Be real for me, God.
Let me forsake all
others and live for
You alone.
Be real for me, God.
Anne, what a beautiful prayer/poem! I hope God answers it in a mighty way. But right now, I like to think He is occupied with His Own Delight in being so on your mind, so in your heart and so very longed for...
ReplyDeleteAnne,
ReplyDeleteThis longing can be quite painful, can't it? Your poem is beautiful and once again it points out to me that God is always on your mind and in your heart. You picked a good title for your blog, my friend. May God bless you and hold you close to Him.
Hi Anne~Just catching up around your blog...Oh, I really "felt" this poem. Good one! God bless your weekend:)
ReplyDeleteI love the wholeheartedness in this prayer!
ReplyDeleteThere can be such a deep longing to see, touch, know Him...it can even be an aching pain. And there are times that as real as we know He is, somehow we need to be reminded again of just HOW real He is, how much a part of each moment.Thank you for sharing this beautiful prayer/poem.
