"I say to myself, I will not mention His name, I will speak in His name no more. But then, it becomes like a fire burning in my heart, imprisoned in my bones, I grow weary holding it in, I cannot endure it." Jeremiah 20:7-10

Parched
branches snap under my feet and I think I could break just as easily
my prayer is dry my soul is parched
I need to be drenched with the consolations of Your sweet love my Jesus
Anne, your poem is beautiful and I love your blog. When I get up in the morning, I publish my posting [prepared the night before],grab a cup of coffee and pop on to your site. It was the name of your blog that 1st grabbed my attention[Jeremiah is one of my favorite books in the bible],but it is the beauty of your words and love for God that brings me back.
Anne, This prayer is so beautiful and reflects how I too sometimes feel. This a prayer I will come back to to pray in those dry, desert~like times. Thank you and God Bless!
