Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary

fingers tightly pressing beads
as if holding on firmly
will bring an answer to the prayer
that fills my soul

lips silently mouthing
words of devotion
while mind and heart dwell
on Scripture mystery

eyes fixed on Mother in blue
gentle breeze blowing
cloak around her ankles
lightly wrapping Her in love

smile in her eyes
sending rays of "yes" outward
I know my prayer is heard
by the One who loves Her best

Thank you Mother Mary
for loving me,
for listening to me
and for taking my prayers to God.

  1. What a beautiful prayer/poem, Anne! :)
    You truly are gifted.
I feel elated knowing that we are all joined together this month of the Holy Rosary in praying the rosary - knowing that we are all remembering each other in prayer.
    God bless the internet! :)

  2. Anne,
Beautiful as always! "Fingers tightly pressing beads..." what a powerful image. Sometimes I feel that way- the tighter I hold those beads or a crucifix, the louder my prayer.
Thank you for sharing your gift of words.
    God Bless!

  3. Lovely, Anne! Powerful, gentle images.

  4. You probably get tired of hearing it, but you really do have a way with words. Love shines through, is the best way I can describe it. I loved Karinann's comment, too.

  5. So beautiful, Anne! Perfect reflection for today ... and throughout this month! May God continue to bless your gift of writing!

  6. Anne, you are truly an artist with words. It's funny--I almost used that picture with my sidebar, but I couldn't copy it.

Your blog inspires me so much, and I really appreciate your comments. I don't have many people around here to talk to, so I love the use of the internet to connect with kindred souls.

  7. Anne,
I sent you an e-mail. Please let me know if you don't get it :)

  8. smile in her eyes
    sending rays of "yes" outward

I will remember this always as I bring my petitions to her!

    Thank you....
